Or “I” am just attempting. Whitney will eat WHATEVER I make for him. Because his wife is scary…Not.

I haven’t been taking pictures of food since I’m using little plastic bowls and they are not very cute, therefore, I didn’t want to take pictures. But yesterday, I used ceramic little plates, they don’t match, but they look better! Now is a good time for me to go pottery shopping, now I know I use tiny ones, I didn’t think would before!

What we had yesterday:

It looks like we are still eating lots, but if you think about each amount, it’s a lot less that we used to eat! :P

After this, we shared a corn for dessert. That’s right, I said “dessert”. Whole foods have the deal on corns again, SUMMER HAS BEGUN!

This dinner was a while ago, nothing came in a package, I prepared them all! I was proud! :)

num num num. Kinda make me hungry though it’s only 9 am.

Thanks for looking! :)

First, Vegan Veggie pizza. We tried this pizza dough from WHOLE FOODS. It had lots of different seeds even though the ingredients didn’t say. Well, we liked all the seeds in it! :)

I always try not to put too much veggies, and always end up saying, “I guess I could’ve put less”. :P

And then, I made Vegan mapo Tofu, and Hot and sour soup. You can buy mapo tofu that’s already made at a store and you can find vegan ones, too but I like mine better :P Healthier too! And I also like my hot and sour soup better! Very easy!

I hadn’t cooked the whole meal lately, but, I’m back on it!

I have new favorite green leaves! It’s this thin leafy veggie that I got in chinatown, when I got it it was like purple but it turned all green by the time we ate them. I’ll see if I can get the name of that some other time.

Getting low on groceries!

…Are we eating out tomorrow, whitney?? BTW, I have Kiki on my lap and Kurosuke by my side right now. Love it!

I guess I was really craving nimono this day! :P

Vegan Buffalo chicken wings

Vegan Buffalo chicken wings

I made these for the Super Bowl on Sunday along with Vegan Sloppy Joe and my favorite, Bean and Con Salsa. Don’t they look like real chicken legs??? They were so good! All I did was flavoring them, I didn’t make those fake chickens! I wish I knew how to! :P

White Rice with Barley, Miso soup, Udon pancake, Gyoza, shungiku with ssesame sauce, Tomyo itamemono and Soybeans nimono

The Miso soup broth is from the hot pot we did the night before, which I will put a pic next! This Miso soup tastes HEAVENLY to me. It makes me wanna do hot pot just to get the broth!! And this was my first try to nake a pancake (チヂミ)with leftover Udon noodle. It was pretty good!

Inside the steamed Gyoza is lots of veggies, TVP and, my home made Kimch! Yes! I am making my own Kimch. I’m such a Grandma! :P But I like making all the homemade stuff, I think it tastes goos, and better ingredients, and, gives me satisfaction! :P

Brown rice, Miso soup, Fusilli Salad, Potato Koren inspired Nimono, Bok choi and Aburage no Pirikarani

I made up the potato recipe, and it was yum yum yummy. I might make that again tonight!

And the last…

Rice, Vegetable soup, Tamengi no isomushi, home made Kimch, Salad, 5 kinds of mushroom steamed in foil

Yum yum yummmmm. Lately, I got into making vegetable soup without bouillon. Tastes really good and tastes healthier! I know Veggie bouillon is not bad for you, but if I don’t need it, it’s good that I don’t use it, right?

Thank you for reading my Food blog! Have a wonderful day! :)

love,

hana

Oh I forgot this one, I worked harder on this dinner!

I made these to stock up in the refrigerator so I’ll only have to make rice and 1 dish or so when I come home hungry! :)

Takes a bit more effort when you don’t own a microwave! ;)
