and new soup bowls! :) Now I need more bigger plates that can go with those! Since all I have is more Western design plates and, clearly, they look out of place! :P

This is what we eat when I don’t have time to cook. I made the kelp thingy (Kombu no Nimono) and leafy thingy (Nanohana no Goma-Ae) in the morning, and I just made miso soup and Tofu steak with mushroom sauce when I got home! Numnumnummmmm

I make the sesame sauce (that you see on the greens) just because I just want to eat the garlic chili sauce with it.

I made this Seaweed Namul, it’s very garlic-y but it’s really good! And I also made this Gluten dish, (Kuruma-fu to Celery no Nimono), my new favorite!

And after we eat this, we eat corn and other desserts. :P

And Kurosuke always attacks me eating corns, I don’t know how he loves corns so much, he loves corns more than I do!

Big cat / Small cat. Sleepy cats on a cloudy day!

It took quite a while, but for 2009 Hana Hattori donations, we have decided to donate to Kitty Kind.

They are a New York City based, not for profit, NO-KILL, all volunteer cat rescue and adoption group. We adopted Kurosuke from them in August. I do want to support all animals eventually, but starting from kitties that we have connections, would be a good start. Last year we donated to a Nashville No-Kill cat rescue, too, so you know it might take a while for me to move on to other rescue.

But when Whitney came home with Kurosuke and told me about this group, I was very excited! They do such an amazing jobs to the kitties in NY.

And I’m so happy to have Kurosuke. I never wanna be the one to choose an animal to adopt, whoever comes to me, will be the one I love with all my heart.

Milan came, because our friend found out she had a cat allergy, Kiki came to us because she was at this jewelry store whose owner was helping the humane society and Kiki was there that week Whitney went in.

And Kurosuke, we read that black kitties are more likely to stay at a shelter the longest, so we wanted to have a black kitty, And he was the black one! Although he was bigger than what I expected, (Since kiki is so small we wanted a kitty smaller than her so she won’t feel threatened!) he was one of the many best things that happened to me in my life, just like his brother and sister, Milan and Kiki!

Even though he chases our precious Kiki and makes us grumpy!

He was, a bit smaller than Kiki when he came to our house, but he got bigger than her in a few weeks! He’s a big baby! Well, I guess enough with my kitty story for now,

You can donate to the kitty kind Here!!

Still haven’t been able to open Milan’s album. But I felt I needed Mialn’s picture on  this entry.

I found these pictures! I’m going to post these while Kiki is feeling like she’s in heaven since I just sprinkled catnip on the carpet, and Kurosuke is sniffing my boots.

Roarrrrrr. She still had a collar then.

And this picture! Look how big Kurosuke’s paws are for his body! He was a small-er kitty. I don’t think he was ever small, but definitely smaller than he is now! P

my babies!

If you keep up with my blog, you might bust me that I haven’t put up the recipe for my vegan mapo tofu, like I said. But I will! I wanted to post these photos before I leave for Colorado! :)

Don’t worry, kitties are in good hands. Though, I do feel nervous, as I always do when I leave my kitties for more than a day! I will be back on Monday night!

Talk to you when I get back!! :) Have a lovely lovely weekend!

love,

hana

not kekekekekekeke.

Kiki is the cutest creature I’ve ever known. Not to discriminate Milan and Kurosuke. They are all cuter than anything I could ever imagine a living creature could be! :P

Kiki founda new spot for her, it looks like.

Then…

It’s ok, guys, go ahead and say it shamelessly,

“Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww”

Yep, that’s what I thought.

Please just focus on how cute she is, and ignore the mess in the background. thanks! :P

This is kind unusual, Kiki in the box! Not Kurosuke, though they were both up in my face when I was opening up this package from my mom.  :)

Sunny kiki.

Thank you for coming to my blog! the blog that’s pretty much only on food and kitties! Kurosuke’s photo will come soon too, don’t you worry :P

love,

hana
