I thought I was craving hot and sour soup, I hadn’t made it for so long, I had forgotten how easy and good it was! I had forgotten I was craving it, and remembered it after I finished cooking other stuff, and still made it to eating before 7:30 or something. Mmmm, should make this again soon!
And I had soaked Fu (gluten) and prepared it but I figured I shouldn’t make any more dish, so I just added to the chive pancake, it turned out so good, it was such a chewy yummy pancake! Will make this again soon, especially Fu has lots of plant based protein!
- Chive pancake with Fu
- Kelp in vinegar soy sauce
- Cucumber, Seaweed and bean thread in Vinegar sauce
- Pea shoot in sweet sesame sauce
- Potato salad
- Brown rice
- Hot and Sour sauce

hi all! hope you all are having a great day!
I’ve worked on a new design! it’s kinda like an elf, i think! i know, i called the other dress i put up yesterday “elf” too, well, after all, “elf” is my very favorite word! :)
Elf dress with bow
somehow, the triangle on the hem makes me think of an elf! and look at my brand new vegan boots!! :) those helps the “elf” look, right!?
so, let’s talk about this dress. i thought of this design when i was actually working on the dress that i put up yesterday. i wanted to make an A-line dress, with the center of the hem raised and have triangles peeking. and i wanted to have the ruffle and have panels, and of course! a bow! i tried a new style of a bow, and i really like how it turned out. i love love love bows, and it’s so fun that there are so many ways to make a bow on a dress!
i just realized, it’s probably really hard to see the bow, or the ruffles etc. on the pic i just put up, but, you know we will be taking more detail shots on weekends so you can see better!
this dress, of course, is fully lined, and have big pockets, it’s a slip on, and the silhouette is an A-line. and it has a bow on front.
Now! let’s talk about food! i love food! don’t you!? this is team hanahattori’s lunch today!

i got this recipe from vegecooking.com
2 tsp. olive oil
2 garlic cloves, slivered
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
2 Tbsp. capers
1/4 cup halved kalamata olives
Red pepper flakes, to taste
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 Tbsp. brine (the olive juice from the kalamata olives)
14-oz. can crushed tomatoes
• In a sauté pan over medium heat, warm the oil. Add the garlic and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the basil, capers, olives, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2 minutes.
• Season with the salt, pepper, and brine.
• Add the tomatoes and simmer over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Serve over fettuccine.
Makes 4 servings
my secret for this recipe is to add sliced onions after you cook the garlic, so that when you add capers and olive, the oil won’t shoot at you! this is my staple now, i’ve changed a bit like i just use fresh tomatoes instead of cans, but, i love this recipe! it’s very easy and yummy, try sometime! :)

we had our last radio show yesterday. it was emotional for us when we announced it, and it was, of course, more emotional today! :( we had so much fun doing it, man, we have so many nice people who let us talk, talk, talk for an hour in Nashville! how nice of them not to change their station! because we did encourage people to change their station, the real grumpy people who want to just yell at us :P
we want to thank everyone. thank you, all listeners who listened to us, and giving us nice warm calls and shared their grumpstown stories. thank you, WRVU for giving us the spot, letting us keep it for the last semester.
it was awesome meeting people in town, talking to us “…do you guys do radio show??” those always were pretty pretty exciting encounters. we love meeting grumpstown listeners!! they tend to be animals lovers too. we do love meeting more animals lovers too :) we had so much, so much fun doing the show, and without you, all listeners, it wouldn’t have been as much fun. even though, we did have too much fun when we probably didn’t have anyone listening in the beginning. we loved all your grumpstown stories.
and we hope that over the 2 years, we could be a part to start your day with laughter, less grumpy because we decided to make our show grumpstown, when we figured that sharing your grumpstown stories are fun, you can actually laugh at what made you grumpy, and that others could share the experience and we all could laugh “with” each other.
we will be back with a new means of podcast!! i don’t know how it works, but whitney does, so, please keep on listening and, think about us once a week, we’re plannign to start it in a month or so. :)
then! we had the last blokus club! ohhhhhh, whitney! aren’t you proud! he was THE champion for the last blokus club with grumpstown. he ran around the house between all the boxes with rocky’s theme song. i admit, it was pretty awesome and silly, and funny.
THE champion, whitneyyyyyyyyyy dancing with Rocky theme song
ant then, the farewell! i hate saying good byes. i know nobody likes it, but, i sure don’t take it well! :P after everyone left, we were left with the emptiness. Not being able to say “see you next week!”, is hard. not knowing the exact time that you can see the other people, is hard. i started crying hard. it finally hit me, that, we are, in fact, leaving this wonderful little town, Nashville filled with all these amazing people that we sincerely love. we might not have known each other for long, but, they have become our norm, habit that, it was natural to see them every wednesday night. now, when can see you guys next??
nashville has been so great. so many great memories. i got to meet so many people, with so many different beliefs and ideas. it help me understand others with different ideas and become a better person, i think.
i got to sing for a band i loved. i don’t think anyone else is open minded or courageous enough to let me sing… lol and i got to talk talk talk on radio show that i love love love as well, i became a designer which i had dreamed…man, i loved it so much! nashville has given me so much opportunities. i can’t thank you enough, nashville.
well, the only thing that stopped me crying… the doodling that i did on my tummy last night when we were doing the meeting for the radio show. it was so silly, i just drew star and a heart and some bulls eye around my belly button, but it looked so silly, it made me burst out laughing. it didn’t come off when i washed them in the morning!!
and thank you, Jason! for your awesome Totoro! he will be traveling with us. we’ll take good care of him!!
