Found this delight on Friday at Metropolitan supermarket! I was just doing my usual “going around every aisle because I love grocery store” round and found this in the fridge section! Whaaaaaaaaat!? I had no heard anything about this! So I had to buy this. I had always complained that it’s hard to get a Tofu cram cheese that is sweet (they always have some savory ones)even at a Bagel store, now, I see one without having to go to Bagelsmith that has Tofu cream cheese berry. I haven’t had that in a while…

It tastes pretty good. But I prefer the texture of Tofutti cream cheese, more firm and I think more like regular dairy cream cheese. This was very soft and “sticky”, it stretches a lot. But the taste is good! But it won’t get to the place in my heart that Tofutti stands as of now, Toffuti is still my go-to, everyday vegan cream cheese. But I was super excited about this and will get it when I get a craving again! They do have plain and savory one too.

I’m alomost finished with the first bottle of the Madhava agave nectar light I got at Whole Foods(about $7 on sale), so I ordered more($5.57 on Vitacost, com)! This time with Amber too. I’m getting a hang of using agave in my Japanese cooking finally!
I just use half amount of what I would put for sugar, supposedly you can use 2/3 tbsp of agave for 1tbsp of sugar, but I like to cut in half.
And I really like this bottle better than the other agave I have used, it doesn’t get too messy and easily control how much I wanna squeeze out. :)

Madhava agave nectar on Vitacost (I was very tempted to get the huge bottle for like $10!)

It was a secret dinner plan, Whitney sure done did well! :) It was four course prix fixe meal. You can see the menu here at their menupage website better than this picture. There are several things that have dairy but we told the nice waitress lady that we are vegan and they gave us all vegan food, so nice! If you were to make a reservation, it would be good to let them know in advance.

Appetizers! numnumnum.

Main dishes. It looked like small portions, but it was a lot! And it is all you can eat, so you can ask for more of anything, so I got the second helping of spinach one and the soup.

The desserts and tea. You usually get ice cream, I believe, but we got some liquid-y mango stuff that was very good, so nice of them to not just cut out things that have dairy but give us alternative vegan stuff!
The tea was very strong and good, though since it was strong, I only had a sip, I had been trying to avoid caffein for so long that I was scared how my body reacts to strong caffein, I don’t wanna be even more insomniac! :P

Jolly Kempers about food.

And the restaurant is so big! It’s so wachy decor, I told Whitney it was like a palace, Indian palace! It was just fun to be there! Thank you, whitney! :)

Trader Joe’s Vegetable Root Chips $2.99 regular price
Sure, it doesn’t have the kabocha chippies in it, but it’s so so so good! I surprised Whitney by saying I like this even better than the Terra Exotic Veggie Chips.

Root veggies are the way to go.
I think it’s fried chippies, but they are not as oily as other potato chippies. And the texture is a little harder in a very good way. I love love love these chippies! Right now it’s my number one!

Hillstone.
That’s where we go to when we crave a really yummy veggie burger! And I had been wanting to go back there to eat that before we have a baby and become homebuddy, so we went on Thursday!
They always leave us in heaven, without fail. Always consistent. So good! The menu says it’s an egg bun, but it actually doesn’t have egg in it and bun is vegan, just make make make sure you ask for NO cheese, No mayo! and you’re good to go!
It comes with their signature shoe string fries, but they used to give so much of it and me being concerned with how easily I gain weight, I asked to substitute and got salad with vinegar dressing, but, I should’ve asked for the dressing on side, it was a bit too oily for me :P

And I love that they already have Tabasco hot sauce on table without asking to bring a hot sauce! :P Mustard and hot sauce… yumyumyum.

It’s nice to see this bubba at his lunch break on a week day! :)
Hillstone, there are several locations, but we go to the one on Park Ave
