we had our last radio show yesterday. it was emotional for us when we announced it, and it was, of course, more emotional today! :( we had so much fun doing it, man, we have so many nice people who let us talk, talk, talk for an hour in Nashville! how nice of them not to change their station! because we did encourage people to change their station, the real grumpy people who want to just yell at us :P
we want to thank everyone. thank you, all listeners who listened to us, and giving us nice warm calls and shared their grumpstown stories. thank you, WRVU for giving us the spot, letting us keep it for the last semester.
it was awesome meeting people in town, talking to us “…do you guys do radio show??” those always were pretty pretty exciting encounters. we love meeting grumpstown listeners!! they tend to be animals lovers too. we do love meeting more animals lovers too :) we had so much, so much fun doing the show, and without you, all listeners, it wouldn’t have been as much fun. even though, we did have too much fun when we probably didn’t have anyone listening in the beginning. we loved all your grumpstown stories.
and we hope that over the 2 years, we could be a part to start your day with laughter, less grumpy because we decided to make our show grumpstown, when we figured that sharing your grumpstown stories are fun, you can actually laugh at what made you grumpy, and that others could share the experience and we all could laugh “with” each other.
we will be back with a new means of podcast!! i don’t know how it works, but whitney does, so, please keep on listening and, think about us once a week, we’re plannign to start it in a month or so. :)
then! we had the last blokus club! ohhhhhh, whitney! aren’t you proud! he was THE champion for the last blokus club with grumpstown. he ran around the house between all the boxes with rocky’s theme song. i admit, it was pretty awesome and silly, and funny.
THE champion, whitneyyyyyyyyyy dancing with Rocky theme song
ant then, the farewell! i hate saying good byes. i know nobody likes it, but, i sure don’t take it well! :P after everyone left, we were left with the emptiness. Not being able to say “see you next week!”, is hard. not knowing the exact time that you can see the other people, is hard. i started crying hard. it finally hit me, that, we are, in fact, leaving this wonderful little town, Nashville filled with all these amazing people that we sincerely love. we might not have known each other for long, but, they have become our norm, habit that, it was natural to see them every wednesday night. now, when can see you guys next??
nashville has been so great. so many great memories. i got to meet so many people, with so many different beliefs and ideas. it help me understand others with different ideas and become a better person, i think.
i got to sing for a band i loved. i don’t think anyone else is open minded or courageous enough to let me sing… lol and i got to talk talk talk on radio show that i love love love as well, i became a designer which i had dreamed…man, i loved it so much! nashville has given me so much opportunities. i can’t thank you enough, nashville.
well, the only thing that stopped me crying… the doodling that i did on my tummy last night when we were doing the meeting for the radio show. it was so silly, i just drew star and a heart and some bulls eye around my belly button, but it looked so silly, it made me burst out laughing. it didn’t come off when i washed them in the morning!!
and thank you, Jason! for your awesome Totoro! he will be traveling with us. we’ll take good care of him!!

hello everyone! i hope you missed our blog yesterday! :P well, i started packing yesterday, and it’s a bit frustrating how you look at 5 big boxes and think “weeeeeeeeee, i packed! in your face, whitney! i did pack! (cuz he knows i get lazy about packing…) ” then you look at the room you’re in, and realize not much has changed in the room. but, I will keep packing!
but i had a good day! i hadn’t told you, but whitney, my other half, partner is in NY looking for apartments from yesterday. So, I’m home alone, supposed to pack the house. and i still did a radio show without him! it was a challenge since i’d never done the radio without whitney, and i never really paid attention to what you were supposed to do with all the machine stuff thinking i’d have to do it without him someday. But, i did it!! i remembered! i also didn’t get Jason lost either, that’s a huge progress. :P Thank you, Jason to come be my radio partner today, we did good!
after that, i went to see my japanese lady friends! it was really awesome, i got lots of positive energy from them and that’s really what i needed, and learned a lot about starting business too. even though i didn’t get to spend much time with them while i was in nashville, i really cherish this encounter and relationship! i feel very blessed. i learned about some fascinating human magical experiences i will have someday. :P
you can check out one of my friends’ baby kimono here:
www.tomoandedie.com, even if you don’t have a baby, she has very very cute thingies for your hair! i love them! i will wear them with my dresses :)
anddddd, the place she works at has cute cute doggies! i failed to get Lesley (not sure that was the right name!) pic, but i did manage to get Dingo’s! (again, not sure about the spelling!) Look how cute she is! she kissed me! it was a sweet greetings.

milan and kiki got microchips! I was a bit concerned but they seem to be doing really ok. it started from my paranoia that something terrible could happen on the way to Ny and our kitties could be lost.
i can’t let that happen. they are supposed to live as long as they will ( and hopefully become Bakeneko, which is from a japanese mythology story that a cat past certain age becomes obake and live forever! i think. ) but, we will do everything we can to make this move least stressful to our kitties. come back here often to keep up with our move from nashville, TN to NY! ;)
Our kitties are very good when it comes to going to vet. Especially kiki, she cried once and after that, she settled in her carrier and was calm all through her vet visit.
Mialn, also is very good, stays on my lap without me holding him, but, he gets really really stressed and sheds a lot. i think it ages him! the title “Urashima Taro” is from another fairytale about a boy going to Ryugujo, the heavenly world underneath the sea, and the princess gave him a box and told him not to open and, he did, on no! and, he just turned grandpa. i thought of the story because, milan sheds so much from stress (poor milan :( ) and i felt like he;’ being Urashimataro today, youg milan to grandpa milan shedding all the gray hair!
leave the stressful time of the day, and enjoy the kitty pic of the day!
milan of the world! (click to enlarge)
what she does best...licking! (click to enlarge)
after we came back from the vet visit, we made vegan pizza!! yay! last time, we failed, finding out that the dough had milk, but this time, we learned from the last mistake! so we made it totally vegan :) No cheese, Mcgee. Whitney doesn’t like fake cheese, so we just go without cheese.
but did you know a certain part of Italy eat cheeseless pizza? i had never heard of it, but i believe it! it’s pretty good! :)
i make my own tomato sauce, and today i challenged to make cheeseless pesto! they were good! i probably cooked them too long, so, the colors aren’t the best, but here’s the pic of our vegan pizza!

the white thingie you see is “koorito-fu” it’s just a tofu, i thought to add it to make it look more exciting ;) and i really was going to put the recipe for everything i made for this, but, i’m feeling pretty tired after the karaoke tonight. but, i loooooove karaoke! let me just end m night there.
i hope everyone had a great day! and i wanna thank Chris and Chen fot he comments! I’m still figuring out this blog thingie, but i got really excited to get your comments!! Thanks for reading :) night, night!!

Juicy couture adopted fur-free policy!
this is exciting!! I do remember the days when i was little and saying real fur is so much better. I was such an ignorant little girl. i had no idea what horrible things people were doing to produce fur as cheap as possible, it is unbearable. Once I learned how terrible things are done to the animals, I never wore real fur. it’s been years since i learned the terrible facts, now i see real fur and all i see in that is blood and sufferings, and i got so sad and frustrated that i couldn’t do much for them. i might not have much power, but if we all get together, we can have so much power and influence to help the animals! if all the consumers stop wearing them, the providers (designers, manufacturers, etc) will learn that they don’t have to use fur, be assured people will keep buying their products without real fur.
you can sign up to be fur free here! http://www.furisdead.com/pledge-furfree.asp?c=chfrplg
anyways! you can read about the Juicy couture going fur free, sorry it’s so wordy, I just pasted from the newsletter i get.
“PETA has had a cooperative relationship with Liz Claiborne Inc. for many years. Through our work together, the company has made—and continues to make—many great strides to reduce the suffering of animals who are used and abused in the clothing industry.
We would like to share an exciting development that has resulted from our discussions with Liz Claiborne Inc.: Juicy Couture—a high-end clothing company owned by Liz Claiborne Inc.—has now adopted a permanent fur-free policy. While Juicy Couture is still selling some fur items that were stocked before this policy was adopted, it has assured us that no new fur items will be procured and that as soon as the current stock of items has gone, the company will be completely fur-free.
We applaud Liz Claiborne and Juicy Couture for making this move, which will spare animals from suffering all the torment and abuse inherent in fur production.
Unfortunately, some companies continue to sell fur despite the fact that new evidence of horrific cruelty is exposed year after year. PETA Asia-Pacific’s recent undercover investigation in the Shandong region of China, for instance, produced video footage of rabbits who kicked and screamed as they were slaughtered. Another investigation into rabbit fur farms in France showed similar cruelty.
We need you to speak out and let the world know that it is never OK for any company to sell fur. Please let your voice be heard by urging these holdouts to go fur-free once and for all! ….”

Hello, people! Nashville was all cloudy and rainy today. It’s a bit chilly, like a normal october! Just like any rainy, cloudy, our kitties slept through the day, and got super hyper at night, galloping, dashing, howling. i guess milan thought he needed to burn some energy that he consumed that he didn’t burn during the day! :P
but i did manage to finish one dress! It did take me longer since i used thick corduroy fabric, and it was a bit harder to sew. This is a large size, about 39 inches around the bust, but do remember this dress silhouette is not to be fitted. It is a jumper and i meant it to not fit, like a little girl’s jumper :) It is fully lined with 2 big pockets. I put 4 buttons that matches the ruffles. I really like it! Here’s the pic!
can you see the buttons?? and, it’s a black corduroy, so it’s hard to see the pleats, but it has pleats. i love pleats!
and now, it’s your favorite time of the day! Kitty pic of the day! Unfortunately i only have a pic of milan today, but we will take more pic of you, kiki!

somehow, i find this facial expression of his very funny.
Otay, people, see you tomorrow <3 you are gonna have a great day!!! :)
p.s. i never laughed as hard as i did this year till today, thank you, clumsy whitney, my stomach still hurts remembering the moment.

that’s the name of our talk radio show! Thanks to all who came out to the blokus club and gave lots of lots of extra love to our kitties ;)
well, i’m very ready to go to bed today, but, i did finish a dress, yay!

the dress of the day! The main fabric and the black lace on hem are vintage. This purple fabric is so flowy! It makes me wanna twirl, would be better if i was on a field with barefeet twirling, with lots of happy animals around me. well, …. i guess i just started daydreaming. :P i love my clothes to be worn in like a Disney movies girls singing with happy singing animals, that’s one of many images i have for my dresses!
so, don’t be afraid to sing and twirl in my dresses! :P
and we always have…. Kitty pics of the day!

milan enjoyed lots of attention every wednesday from blokus club! don’t pay attention to our unmatching sheet on our couch and pillows. pay attention to how angelic he is.
oooooooohhhhhh, we had a great day!! :) and hope to see you here again tomorrow!
