aka, new glasses!
On the way to my epic (i know whitney will oppose that I use ‘epic’ for this trip) trip to the “nearest” post office from my house, I found sweet store! those glasses were put on the table outside of the store! Yellow is my favorite color and, I was attracted to it, so I checked them out on my way home. Mmmmm, the price was mind blowing to me!

a set of 6 was only $5! I had to buy them! :P

We recently lost some glasses so we were looking for some glasses, we actually went to Williamsburg to buy glasses this Sunday, and got this one!

this was actually the same one that I bought a few weeks ago, except it’s tall, but from the same set. I liked it, and it was $4 for this one. Almost the same price as the set of 6 I bought today :P

I also bought…

I always keep Nag Champa incense in the house, but was getting low. And I found this sweet incense store too! The nice guys at the store gave me a deal, I think, …this big box for $11! oh my my! :) Doesn’t half or one third size box cost like $8? I also fond the incense I’ve been looking for. It was a good morning. also I met a short grandpa who kept telling me “Oh, you’re beautiful, I like it, I like it.” I didn’t quite get what he means by “it”, but, it was a good morning. :P

Overall, I am satisfied with my neighborfood shopping of this morning! :)

there was something I wanted to do…and realized that I haven’t been writing my blog. But I kept taking pics of all the food I made, but surely forgot to take pics of what we did! :P So, I’m just gonna put all the pics I took this week, of my favorite, FOOOOD!

healthy pasta sauce

healthy pasta sauce

This pasta sauce is so easy, and basically all you need is tomatoes, olive oil and garlic. That’s the basic, and me being someone who can’t help but add so much in her food, I add minced onions, the herbs I grow (basil, oregano, parsley) balsamic vinegar, Sake, and soy sauce, and salt and pepper.

But don’t put much soy sauce, it’s not for flavour, I just put a little because soy sauce when combined with tomatoes, makes it more nutritional and also brings out the yummy flavour. they are good pair!

This is so easy, I basically wrote the recipe, but if you want more detailed recipe, shoot me an email! ;)

then we had…
Japanese curry!

Japanese curry!

I love Inidian curry I make with spinach, but, Japanese curry are totally different from Indian curry, and it’s so good in a so different way. You can buy the curry roux(makes it so easy to make! ;) at any Japanese grocery store, and there are some of the brands that have some beef broth or something in ingredients, but I always find a few brands that doesn’t, and vegan, so, read the i ingredients carefully and choose wisely, they always have the info in English and have the recipe on the back. My secret is to put some rice milk, ketchup and Worcester sauce at the end.

And I won’t deny, I’ve been eating the same food all week…
The one in the middle, is the “Bean curd” , I call it “Yuba”, It’s like the tofu skin, dried. I soak it in the hot water and stir fry with the sauce I made, and the texture is great. It goes well with many different flavour! Also it has lots of proteins…we do tend to eat too much cuz it tastes so good! :P

I made Namul, which is grewt, when you are busy, you come home and Namul is already ready to eat, and last a while! I made it this day and actually finally finished it today, 6 days later.

leftovers!

leftovers!

Poor Whitney, who ‘s been fed the same kind of food all week…. my excuse, the Yuba thing looks exactly same but I usually have 3 different sauce I made, and they have the same ingredients but, they taste very different!!

Well, I’ve probably written enough to make you tired today, so I’ll be back soon to write the rest! Thank you for reading my muttering about foods. Well I gotta go eat more vegan chocolate muffins I just made! they are so good with ricemilk! I’ll share that awesome recipe with you soon!!

I worked on this dress yesterday and today. I tried to make it bigger than the one I usually make, so this is bigger than my Medium. And if you want it bigger size, you can just email me your request too, good thing about being a tiny company, We can be pretty flexible to your needs, well, not all your requests but we will try our best to serve you! ;)

Sundress

Sundress

It’s a sundress, you can wear the shoulder strap like the photo shows, or you could use them as halterneck. I forgot to take a photo of the back (shame on me!) but I like the back. When you do the shoulder strap the way it shows, you tie them on the back to a bow, and the bow looks really good there. It makes me think of kimono, I know it’s nothing like kimono, but having a back conscious detail is my favorite thing! Even though, it could bother you when you are sitting in subway or a car :P

I also added this detail on the back, I put elastic on the side back, so it fits you better when you put it on.

you know, how the woven dress kinda sits on top of your body, but if it has the elastic, it curves the way your body does and fits you better, and it’s more comfortable. Gotta have comforts in my dress! :)

Thank you for visiting my blog, come back again! :)

Unusual, huh!?

Prettier looking than usual! :)

Prettier looking than usual! :)

We are low on our grocery now, but it turned out more colorful dinner than usual. We used the rest of the “Okara Konnyaku”, I ended up using it the very similar way as last time :P I cooked them with the soy sauce base sauce I made, and pan fried the veggies with just salt and pepper, so it won’t be too much flavour. It was good to wrap the veggie with the Okara konnyaku slice. yum yum!

Lately, I learned how to be more lazy when it comes to dinner. I make more than one meal serving of a dish that won’t go bad too soon! Do you see the relay of the dishes?

I made Namul for lunch. (the green leafy thingy)

my alone lunch (ひとりランチ)

And then, that night…

Do yu see the same thing you saw on my lunch?

And then! The next night’s dinner was…

When I come home late, it’s nice to have all these prepared already. this way, being healthy is easy! :)

Today, I’ll have time to cook, so, what do wanna make….with the little grocery left in the refrigerator!

We eat a lot of Chinese food, but, it’s not quite real because the Chinese food we eat is the one I make. But, I like my interpretation of Chinese food. And it’s always good to go taste the real one to learn! So, last Saturday, we went to a Chinese restaurant! We don’t eat take out Chinese food very often or eat at a Chinese restaurant very often, so it was nice to taste the way “real” Chinese food taste compared to mine! :P

We got so much fooood!

We got so much fooood!

yum yum yum, and spicy! They gave us so much food, and even though we are known to eat way more than most people, even with the 2 big tummy, we couldn’t defeat the food at once! So we took the left overs, and this is our left over dinner (We don’t own a microwave)

Just a bit healthier on the second day?

Just a bit healthier on the second day?

Even though I loved the food, it was juuuusut a little bit too much oil to eat 2 days in a row, so, I threw out all the oil on the surface, and minced the green onions on top to give a little rest on the stomach for the still oily food :P And I cooked the Shiitake mushroom since I wanted something plain and refreshing.

And, here’s a pic I took on the way to the restaurant, he looks like he’s looking at the pigeon on tip of his nose, looks cross eyed, doesn’t he!?
