Everything with vegan, natural ingredients!

Everything with vegan, natural ingredients!

Esprcially Kimchi!

Such a simple ingredients! :) This made me very very excited!!

Now I’m ready to make….

Kempers version of Korean meal

Even though the green tastes more like a Chinese dish! :P I did make the Namul and the pancake. I used rice flour on the pancake this time, but I think I’ll go back to the first pancake I made… maybe I’ll add a bit of rice flour, not the half of the whole dough :P

If you’ve known me in the States long enough, you know that I’m crazy for Mexican foods and I’m totally nuts for chippies and salsa!

And, I know, I’ve shared my recipe for salsa before, but, Whitney gave me this one “this is the best you’ve made!” today on this one, so, I thought to share with you! :)

Just to make it clear, I did make this salsa! I know it looks like we bought is cuz it’s in the little tupperware that everyone gets when they get a take-out food. We just reuse all the little tupperware we get! :P Cuz you know, we hate to throw away things that don’t biodegrade!

Anyways, this is the recipe I made up today :)

Salsa

Ingredients:

medium size tomatoes-2 diced
canned jalapeno- about 5,6 slices diced
onion-half diced
garlic-2 cloves minced
cilantro-about 1 Tbsp minced
Olive oil-a drizzle, like 1 TSP
Sea Salt- about 1/2 TSP
Black pepper-sprinkle

Mix them all well, add more salt if needed. Let it sit in the refrigerator for about 30 min, or more.
…Even though I ate it right away! :P It was delicious right away, but it was tooooo good when I ate it after 5 hours when I got back from my weekly grocery shopping in chinatown! :)

Enjooooy!! :)

my portabello burger!

my portabello burger!

I realized my tummy gets a bit upset a day after I eat at an American vegan place, such as soy protein burger and that kinda yummy stuff. But, I still crave those junkie food once in a while! :P And This one never upsets my tummy….

Portobello Mushroom Burger

Marinade:

Mix a pinch of sea salt, white pepper, black pepper, minced garlic (2 cloves), minced basil (about 3~4 leaves), about 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar, 2 Tbsp Rice vinegar, 1 Tbsp Olive oil, 1 Tbsp Soy sauce, 1 Tbsp sake,  and red pepper flakes, and put it in a bag with the mushroom (don’t forget the stems! they are yummy! Just cut off the very bottom) and mix, shake, massage them, let them sit in the refrigerator for a few hours.

I don’t really like using those plastic bags, but I reuse them. But when I use the bag for this, I can’t reuse them since it gets pretty sticky with oil! And keep in mind that I just made up the recipe and you don’t have to follow the exact recipe, and they’ll always turn out pretty good! :)

Ok, now that you got the mushroom sitting in the refrigerator for a few hours, you’re ready to cook them! :)

Cooking the mushrrom

  1. Heat up the pan, and heat up a bit of olive oil, and sprinkle some sea salt.
  2. put the mushroom cap and stem, and pour all the sauce left in the bag, and add some water in the bag, shake them, and pour that water in the pan too! Put a lid on.
  3. Let them cook till mushroom get cooked and moist, then take the lid off and turn to high heat and let the sauce evaporate.
  4. Toast the bagels, spread some soy margarine (so the bagels don’t suck water and get saggy), put on some lettuce, tomatoes, whatever you have in your refrigerator, and put the mushroom and stem, and pour the rest of the sauce.

Enjoy!!!!

Be aware, this is not a eat-pretty food. All the juice comes out when you grab and bite into it, but, soooo good! It was especially good with “everything bagels”!

I apologize my instructions are always kinda wordy. let me know if you have any questions! :)

Now, to the salsa recipe!

Thank you, Whitney for always doing them for me, I really appreciate it! :) And please update them when you have time :)

Most of them are sold, but I can always make a dress of a style that you liked, Enjoy!!

made the pancake!!!

But I have a perfectly good reason! The night before, Whitney made too much sauce for the pancake, so we saved the sauce. You gotta use that sauce asap, right????? The Kempers don’t waste food! :P

Try the pancake, you’ll understand how we can eat it 4 days, was it 4 days now? in a row. It’s good!!
