Yeah, I’ve always been for free hugs. I’ve recieved lots of Free hugs when I was hanging out in Asheville, and I think I did give out lots of Free hugs to strangers too. But, I had forgotten! I do love hugs, and I hug a lot but, not to strangers. It made me think!

Last night, on my way to the nearest Subway Station (Bedford/ Nostrand, what what), this guy was yelling at me with his arms open. I thought he was a craz person yelling, so I just put on my smile and tried to just pass by, and I finally heard what he was saying and realized he was talking to me.

“Can I just get a hug please!??”

“I just really need a hug” “Please!”

And some nice compliments he gave about me.

I didn’t really buy it, but he did say “I just broke up with my GF, I just need a hug”

So I said “Sure”…and “Good luck!”

It’s pretty fun to give hugs to strangers, I remembered.

But after a while, all the sudden I wondered, if this was like a teenager movie and he was just putting a mean note on my back!? …well, recalling ,recalling… he didn’t have any paper in his hand, I saw it! And I touched my back to see if anything was on my back.

That’s when you realize, you’re not as pure hearted as you were when you were 19.

But I’m still always up for free hugs if anyone wants it! :P

…this is what I always look like outside lately. The Insulated coat that my friend, Rei chan let me borrow, is so warm and light! :) But I long for spring. I want to wear spring dresses!!!

By Me. Tragic, eh. Such a brave man! :P Here’s the “before” picture.

Aaaaand, “After” picture.

ど!?!?!?!?

And you know I have to post this, everytime I post an entry on Whitney. I gotta end with…

Wacky Whitney.

I swear I wasn’t like swinging my scissors and coming for him like a crazy person. He was just doing the face to me, I don’t know why.

Mmmmmmm, How pleasant! :P

My lunch, I made Namul rolls, so it’s pretty different from Japanese style ones! I would like it more vinegary, I will do Japanese style next!

I made these guys from all the left over Namul from the last night’s Bibimbap I made. I did make everything!

Well, actually I ate a lot more than this. I think I ate about 9 of these little guys and soup, and the potato dish from last night’s dinner :P

I love Korean Food so much that I try to mimic it, but it always turns out to be  “Hana-style Korean meal”, not the real Korean meal, I think. Someone, please teach me, I swear I’ll be a great student, though I do tend to, or more like, always, ask too m any questions. That’s cuz I really wanna learn! :P

I guess I was really craving nimono this day! :P

Vegan Buffalo chicken wings

Vegan Buffalo chicken wings

I made these for the Super Bowl on Sunday along with Vegan Sloppy Joe and my favorite, Bean and Con Salsa. Don’t they look like real chicken legs??? They were so good! All I did was flavoring them, I didn’t make those fake chickens! I wish I knew how to! :P

White Rice with Barley, Miso soup, Udon pancake, Gyoza, shungiku with ssesame sauce, Tomyo itamemono and Soybeans nimono

The Miso soup broth is from the hot pot we did the night before, which I will put a pic next! This Miso soup tastes HEAVENLY to me. It makes me wanna do hot pot just to get the broth!! And this was my first try to nake a pancake (チヂミ)with leftover Udon noodle. It was pretty good!

Inside the steamed Gyoza is lots of veggies, TVP and, my home made Kimch! Yes! I am making my own Kimch. I’m such a Grandma! :P But I like making all the homemade stuff, I think it tastes goos, and better ingredients, and, gives me satisfaction! :P

Brown rice, Miso soup, Fusilli Salad, Potato Koren inspired Nimono, Bok choi and Aburage no Pirikarani

I made up the potato recipe, and it was yum yum yummy. I might make that again tonight!

And the last…

Rice, Vegetable soup, Tamengi no isomushi, home made Kimch, Salad, 5 kinds of mushroom steamed in foil

Yum yum yummmmm. Lately, I got into making vegetable soup without bouillon. Tastes really good and tastes healthier! I know Veggie bouillon is not bad for you, but if I don’t need it, it’s good that I don’t use it, right?

Thank you for reading my Food blog! Have a wonderful day! :)

love,

hana

Oh I forgot this one, I worked harder on this dinner!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This painthing was HUGE! I saw Monet at a museum in Nagoya with my mom and sister before, but I hadn’t seen these guys. Whitney told me those are the ones MOMA owns and they don’t leave MOMA, I guess!

I liked the movements in this painting.

And this is the main reason we came! Tim Burton!

…we weren’t supposed to take pictures, but we took this before the Security people started yelling intensely about no pictures! There were so much stuff to see in this exhibition!

Half ]-[ Bomb in front of Jackson Pollock.

MOMA has the audio tour thing for free! It’s pretty fun, typing the number next to a painting and you start hearing facts about the painting and stuff, EXCEPT, mine ran out of a battery like a halfway and, being confused I kept pushing a button and made some unpleasant beeping noise. :P

Weeell, I got too tired too soon. But we will be back, MOMA! I will be stronger! ….maybe. I’ll still come back as a weak one too! :P

BTW, I’ve been eating the pancake every morning since I made the recipe. I’m going to get up early and make them again tomorrow, until I run out of maple syrup since I just got more vanilla extract! :P
