For some reason, we were both craving Okonomiyaki today!

First, our side dishes while we wait for the okonomiyaki to be cooked! Leftover from lunch, spinach and eggplants (to put on top of Okonomiyaki later) and the leftover Taro from yesterday. We got home late today, but in like 3o minutes, we started dinner, not bad, right? :)

Then today’s main, Okonomiyakiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

First one, Basic one (cabbage, chives and red pickled ginger) with the leftover Chinese food from lunch on top with vegenaise

Second one, basic plus kimchee, topping was vegenaise, the eggplants

My third one with Natto (fermented soy beans) with vegenaise, sriracha sauce, soy sauce red pickled ginger, seaweed

It was the best Okonomiyaki so far! Today I made up the recipe for the batter with Ener-G egg replacer, baking soda, Sake, Whole Wheat flour, salt, potato starch and water. The Best I’ve made! :)

We went to Lan sheng Szechuan Restaurant for lunch today! They have a pretty good selection of just veggie dishes for a Chinese restaurant that is not particularly specialized in Vegan Chinese food!

The restaurant we were planning to eat at was closed on Saturday! Then we came back to this place, we came here together for lunch together on a weekday. It was sooooo good! I had been kinda craving sit-in Chinese restaurant food! This turned out perfect!

We had Spinach with minced garlic for an appetizer ($6.95). I thought this was a bit expensive for an appetizer but understood why once we got the food, it’s soooo much spinach! It’s so good, very garlicy and a little bit sour and really good.

Then we shared Baby eggplant with spicy Garlic sauce ($8.95) and Braised Pan Seared Tofu with mixed vegetable with pepper ($8.95). Oh my, they were so good! We decided we needed to come back here more often! So much food, we had some leftover for dinner, yumyumyum :)

I went to Lifethyme today again to buy more of my favorite lip balms, and I saw this sign from them at the window!

Mmmm sounds so good and such a good deal! If I weren’t planning to cook all the things I’m planning to cook, I would totally do it :P This place has awesome selections of vegan sweets too, I must come back to try their sweets next time, I was planning to go get vegan strawberry cheesecake after this so, I resisted, then it turned out the restaurant I planned to go is closed on Saturday! I should have gotten their vegan goodies!!!! So grumpy!! :P
