My Favoite Lunch

I make this so often I don’t need the recipe anymore!
“Tamanegi Don” Onion over Rice
Ingredients: For 2 Servings
- Cooked Rice
- 1 Medium Onion - Halved and cut it thinly
- Seasame Seed Oil - About 1 or 2 TBSP
- Aburaage (Fried Tofu, the thin one) - 1 square, pour boiling water, and get the oil out, and then cut in small pieces
- Kombucha powder - a few pinches
- Sake - 1 TBSP
- Soy Sauce - 1 TBSP
For topping: Put as much as you want!
- Shichimi (those spicy powder thingy, get it at a Japanese grocery store)
- Beni sho-ga ( Red -dyed ginger, get it at a Japanese grocery store)
- Sesam seed
- Warm up sesameseed oil in a pot, add onions. Keep Cookng and stirring the onions until golden brown.
- Add the Aburaage (you can add red peppers if you like it spicy like me)
- Put a few pinches of Kombucha powder, add 100ml water, 1 TBSP of Sake and Soysauce.
- Cook about another 5 minutes or longer till there’s no more liquid.
- Serve on top of Rice and put the toppings!
Oooohh yum yum, I’ll be eating it tomorrow again! :) …Since I made 2 serving for lunch today!
