Hana’s Guacamole Recipe

February 1, 2010 – 5:50 pm

I got this recipe from my friend, Sydney about 3 years ago, and it somehow tastes different from the one I taste at her hosue now, so if you want the real Sydney’s recipe, you gotta ask her for the original one! :P

So I’m just gonna call this my recipe! Since I don’t wanna offend her with the taste of this recipe, even though, I think this guacamole tastes SOOOOO GOO’! Way better and fresher than a packaged one from a store!

Guacamole

Ingredients:

  • 2 avocados- cut in little pices
  • 1 lemon- I cut in quarter and used 3 of it- squeeeze
  • Cilantro - hm, i think it’s about 1 TBSP - minced
  • 4 Garlic cloves- you can use less but I love garlic! - minced
  • Sea Salt - about 1 tsp
  • Jalapeno- I used sliced from can, since I didn’t have fresh one- about 10 slices or 1 or 2 fresh ones - minced
  • 1/2 Onion- minced
  • 1 Tomato - Diced
  1. Mix the minced garlic, onion, tomato, cilantro and sea salt in a bowl,
  2. In another bowl, put the cut avocado and smash with potato masher, and add lemon juice
  3. Mix 1 and 2, and taste to see if it needs more sea salt

I think the original recipe calls for lime, but I just go with a lemon, and I do like the flavor of canned jalapeno :P

That’s it! Easy, right? It’s sooo good! You can do this in a food processor, but cutting with a knife yourself some how always tastes better, in my opinion. It’s chunkier too. Yum yum yum!!!!!! I tried with a Chili and lime chippies, and oh my my! it was soooooooooo good!
